Steam Game: Cannibal Cuisine

Source Link

The god Hoochooboo is hungry… for you. But as all good cannibal cooks know, serving is better than being served. Chop up vegetables, fruits and tourists and serve your divine delicacies in arcade style with up to 4 chefs!

About This Game

The recipes for success are varied; find delicious fruits and vegetables, and combine them with freshly chopped and cooked tourists for a truly divine delicacy fit for the God Hoochooboo. Of course the tourists might not offer themselves up freely, the heathens, so you’ll need to master your arcade reflexes, voodoo magic and fire breathing, useful for baking as well, to persuade them without getting KO’d!

Tour the island
Ready, steady, cook your way through many levels in a full campaign across the island. Overcome spikes in mysterious temples, bushwhack your way through tourist infested jungles and stay away from lava in the underground.

Other-foodly activities
All kinds of extra-culinary skills are needed too to appease Hoochooboo. Skills such as outrunning the Spikey Log of Doom™, defeating waves of tourists and the tour boss in the jungle arena, as well as other challenge levels to prove yourself as the one true cook.

How Foodoo you
Mystical voodoo powers are the perfect ingredients to success, allowing you to dash, place healing totems or even breathe fire. In multiplayer each chef can choose a different ability to fit their cooking style.

Foodfest or Foodfight
Cook your way through hell’s kitchen solo or with up to 4 chefs. Or challenge each other to foodfights in PvP. With so many chefs in the kitchen, chaos is sure to follow.

Cannibal Cuisine features:

  • Arcade combat with unfortunate tourists – don’t forget your voodoo powers!
  • Navigate varied tropical levels to collect extra ingredients and prepare Hoochooboo’s meals.
  • Many levels of cannibal chaos in the jungle, temple, on the beach, and inside a volcano!
  • Choose your cannibal couture with many options for weapons and accessories.
  • Play solo, cooperatively, or in versus mode with 1-4 players.

Steam Game: Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator

Source Link

Here is a sandbox like no other. Create massive battles with absolutely no limits. Want to see 10,000 chickens fight an army of Romans?? Sure, why not. Want to see a company of WW2 U.S soldiers fight 11,000 Medieval soldiers?? There are simply no limits to the carnage you can achieve in UEBS.

About This Game

The Game:

Here is a sandbox like no other. Create massive battles with absolutely no limits. Want to see 10,000 chickens fight an army of Romans?? Sure, why not. Want to see a company of WW2 U.S soldiers fight 11,000 Medieval soldiers?? There are simply no limits to the carnage you can achieve in Epic Battle Simulator. Mess around with a massive variety of units. Everything from, Roman Centurions, Medieval soldiers, Knights, Orcs, Trolls, and yes, chickens! The main focus in this game is giving the player no restrictions to what he can do. That is why we decided not to limit the amount of units in battle. Want to see what a battle of 100,000 units looks like? We don’t recommend going past 10,000 for most machines but its your CPU, do what you want! On top of that, you can play as any one of the units in the game, getting up close and personal to help change the tides of a massive battle, while rallying teammates and giving them orders!

The Technology:

Unfortunately there really aren’t many engines that you can chuck 10,000 characters in and expect good performance. This is why I worked months on end to create the most powerful crowd rendering system ever conceived in Unity engine. The detail of each character has little effect on performance while each individual acts independently, but is working towards a greater good for his team. Each individual decides his own path and navigates complex environments. But I didn’t stop there! With the large open environments, I needed a more dynamic lighting solution than the one built in to Unity engine. So I built my own dynamic global illumination lighting engine. This enables bounce light completely in real time. What does that mean? That means every piece of shiny armor is reflecting it’s true surroundings, every bright surfaces illuminates it’s surroundings and effects the overall lighting.

Yes I worked hard to bring this game to life, may you all inflict carnage upon it!

Steam Game: OBEY

Source Link

OBEY is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. We’ve all played games where you send commands to teammates or AI units. OBEY instead puts you in the position to command your enemies (human opponents), and to be commanded by them. Players are always free to obey/disobey.

About This Game

OBEY is a highly asymmetrical multiplayer game.

We’ve all played games where you send commands to AI units or teammates.
OBEY instead puts you in the position to command your enemies (human opponents), and to be commanded by them. Players are always free to obey/disobey. It is always up to players to deal with the consequences of their decisions in the game.

You win by bribing and coercing your opponents to do things against their own self interest (and in your interest).
If you are being coerced you have only stealth, intelligence, trickery, and creativity to escape.

OBEY is sort of like Counter Strike Jailbreak Mod meets Spy Party.
OBEY’s social aspects have also been compared to Trouble in Terrorist Town and Town of Salem.

To win, make more money than any one else by the end of the round.
To make the most money, take command of the giant robot (the robot player makes 10x more than the other players per second).
You take control of it by walking into a door at the base of the robot.
The player in the robot can easily destroy any player he sees trying to approach (IF he sees them).
That’s the basics – so superficially, it plays like ‘king of the hill’.

However…
Experienced robot players will know that it is not always in their interest to simply kill approaching players.
Why not? Because he can instead coerce them to do what he wants,
and that’s where the game gets interesting…

GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE BY GDOG (Contains instructions for new players)
GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE BY FRAGMIX with inset by GEIN
GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE OF A TOURNAMENT GAME (experienced players)
BUNNY GUARD AT WORK!

NOTES ABOUT GAMEPLAY:

  • When playing as robo… you are free to shoot everything that moves (and this might even work against friends or new players), but if you just use this against experienced players you will get subverted, and you will lose. You want your opponents controlled, not hidden and out to subvert you…
  • When playing as a bunny… trying to constantly subvert in the face of an experienced robo is a terrible idea: you will spend most of your game waiting to spawn. OBEY rewards using TRICKERY, STEALTH, and INTELLIGENCE. OBEY does not reward constant blind ‘guns blazing’ rushing to the robot. (But what did you expect? you are a baby bunny .vs an enormous mecha-canon-turret).
REMEMBER: You will be playing against other human beings – they can not be fooled as easily as AI!

Steam Game: Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure

Source Link

Delores is back home and working as a photographer for the Nickel News. Thimbleweed Park hasn’t changed at all in the year she’s been away… or has it? Sample Ron Gilbert’s new adventure game engine in this free prototype that uses “found art” from the award-winning Thimbleweed Park.

About This Game

The year is 1988. Adventure game developer Delores Edmund, on hiatus from her job at MMucasFlem Games, has returned to Thimbleweed Park for a quick vacation. While she’s home, she’s making some extra money as a photographer for the Thimbleweed Nickel News. Hey, game developers need to eat, too!

Thimbleweed Park hasn’t changed at all in the year since Delores has been away… or has it?

…Since when is the S&D Diner a five-star establishment?
…When did the PillowBear™ become all the rage?
…Why is Ransome the Clown suddenly winning humanitarian awards?
…How come no one seems to remember that dead body that turned up under the bridge a year ago?
…Can Thimbleweed Park get any stranger?!.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a side career in photojournalism is the least of your problems…

Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure started out as a prototype for Ron Gilbert’s new point-and-click adventure game engine and grew into a fun little game. It is not a sequel to Thimbleweed Park and is probably missing all of the small bells and whistles that would make it a commercially viable game.

This was a challenging game to make because we had to use almost exclusively “found art” from Thimbleweed Park to create all new puzzles. Also because we couldn’t go outside IRL.

As a thank you to our fans, we are releasing it for free as something you can have fun with in these odd times. You don’t have to have played Thimbleweed Park to enjoy this mini-adventure. (But if you do enjoy it, why not check out Thimbleweed Park, hmm?)

Key Features:

  • Non-stop point-and-click fun!
  • Return to Thimbleweed Park, the setting of the Best Adventure of 2017 award from Adventure Gamers and the Thank You for Not Still Living at Home award from Ron Gilbert’s mom. (Or, visit Thimbleweed Park for the first time! No prior knowledge required to play!)
  • Explore Main Street and solve puzzles to take pictures for Thimbleweed Park’s hard-hitting newspaper. One of these days Natalie will get that Pulitzer, and it will be thanks to your help!
  • Tackle increasingly difficult assignments as you get closer to figuring out what the heck is going on in Thimbleweed Park this time.
  • Sample a new adventure game engine by Ron Gilbert, who created Lucasfilm’s SCUMM engine and classic games Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island back in the day.

Steam Game: Thimbleweed Park™

Source Link

In Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems. Switch between five playable characters to uncover the surreal secrets of this strange town in a modern mystery adventure game from the creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. The deeper you go, the weirder it gets.

About This Game

Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes… you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

…Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
…What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
…Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
…Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
…Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
…And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered — and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

Key Features:

  • From Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, creators of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.
  • A neo-noir mystery set in 1987.
  • 5 playable characters who can work together… or get on each other’s nerves.
  • Not a walking simulator!
  • Satisfying puzzles intertwined with a twisty-turny story that will stay with you.
  • A vast, bizarre world to explore at your own pace.
  • A joke every 2 minutes… guaranteed!*
  • Casual and Hard modes with varied difficulty.
  • English voices with English, German, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish subtitles.

*Not a guarantee.
